Overview

The Jayplex private mail server offers email services for jayplex.com.au domains and others under my ownership. Access is invitation-only, primarily for friends and family.

Mail Server Settings

Server Name: mail.jayplex.com.au (used for both incoming and outgoing traffic).

Ports (all using STARTTLS):

POP3: Port 110
IMAP: Port 143
SMTP: Port 587

Webmail Access Options

RoundCube (https://mail.jayplex.com.au/mail)

Features: Open-source, user-friendly webmail with basic mail access.
Limitations: No calendar integration. Contacts aren’t compatible with Outlook or iOS devices.

SOGo (https://mail.jayplex.com.au/SOGo)

Features:
Calendar and contacts management.
Activesync compatibility, enabling seamless mail, calendar, and contact synchronization similar to an Exchange server (note: connectivity with recent Outlook versions is mostly functional but not identical to Office 2021).
Key Considerations

Compatibility with Mobile Devices

SOGo ensures consistent access across iOS/Android via Activesync. RoundCube is best for devices without Activesync support.
Future Enhancements: Ongoing development aims to bridge gaps between SOGo and native Exchange solutions, ensuring smoother integration with the latest software releases.
